Disadvantages: Exporting in Jpeg format is a hassle

I was introduced to autocad 10 months ago. Although I always had it installed on my computer I would never touch it. After deciding that making changes in hand drawings is the most time-consuming and nerve wrecking procedure I bought an excellent book on Autocad, and followed each tutorial. In the first day I could do all the basics,the second day I understood further the commands and went a step further.
The next step was to take one project that I needed to work on and completed all the drawings in Autocad. What a relief. Autocad offers, precision in units, no more inking, the ability to change drawing easily without redrawing the whole thing. You can draw a buidling in layers , one layer being for example the plumbing, the other one the walls. You can switch them on and off if you like and change the amount of detail in a drawing. Autocad also inlcudes a library of items, like beds, kitchens, and more are available to download from the internet or in software by Autodesk.
You can export also the drawing to Photoshop and transform them to make them less dull, and more conceptual. The rendering is quite Ok but I would reccomend to use the 3D drawings in conjuction with 3Dstudio Max or similar which has superb rendering quality.
If you are a student, I would definetely recommend learning it, since it is a valuable tool, which is used in most practices. I believe that if you get a good book on autocad and have a bit of patience and excitement to learn you can easily manage to understand and work your projects from now on on Autocad.
