Users can apply liquid distortion effects to images and create short animations with the KPT Goo plug-in. Working with a variety of tools to achieve the results they want, users can control the effect being applied by changing the brush size, flow and animation speed. KPT Goo also reacts to pressure-sensitive tablets, giving users more control over the effects being applied. Users can apply sharpening and smoothing effects to an image with the KPT Equalizer plug-in. The KPT Projector plug-in lets users apply two-dimensional or three-dimensional perspective transformations to an image. For example, users can take a flat, two-dimensional image and make it look like it is tilted away from the viewer in three-dimensional space. The KPT Turbulence plug-in lets users create waves, wakes, and ripples on images. The waves are interactive, reacting to the user's mouse movements. Clicking the image has the same effect as a rain drop falling into a pool of water; it creates a circular ripple or wave that expands outwardly from the point where the user clicked. KPT Turbulence also lets users create short movies or take still snapshots of the resulting effect. Users can create realistic, three-dimensional scenes using the KPT Scene Builder plug-in, working with objects in their scene in a two-dimensional or three-dimensional view using the Scene window. Users can also choose from multiple preview modes. The KPT Gel plug-in lets users apply a three-dimensional gel on top of an image. Users can apply textures to images using the KPT Materializer plug-in. A variety of preset textures let users get started quickly, or users can choose to create textures and save them as presets. Users can control the lighting of the texture and the material properties, such as color, depth of texture, and the reflectiveness of the material. The KPT LensFlare plug-in lets users simulate the flare that appears on a photograph when a bright light source is photographed. Users can choose a preset lens flare effect or create original flare effects. Users can create organic textures that tile virtually seamlessly using the KPT Reaction plug-in. Users can choose from eight seed options and 18 apply modes to determine the characteristics of the texture. The KPT Sky Effects plug-in lets users add realistic (or unrealistic) sky-scapes to images. Users can control the sun, moon, cloud cover, haze, fog, and rainbows that appear in a sky-scape. KPT Sky Effects has several cloud layers that users can manipulate to give the illusion of depth to the sky.
