      Thanks For Reading.

This software package from Grand Designs provides a range of tools, templates, and objects, to allow the user to renovate their home, working on both the interior and exterior. It also provides the ability to add various materials and furniture (from the extensive database included) to help visualise your dream home. It can be used for the smallest job such as simple rearrangement tasks, to more comprehensive larger projects.

I've always been hit and miss when it comes to working with 3D applications, especially when I'm expected to 'create' in two dimensional fields, in order for the software to build a three dimensional image. I often become frustrated when achieving the simplest task seems to take a wealth of time of effort. Thankful thanks to this software, I was able to achieve exactly what I desired, and it provided a constructive, useful, and even fun experience.

One of my aspirations in life is to become a property developer, and using software such as this seemed to be a natural progression up from watching shows such as Property Ladder and Grand Designs on the television.

Despite the fact that the instruction book is worryingly large, the software itself is easy to pick up and even easier to use once you know how. Don't get me wrong as you won't be able to achieve exactly what you want from the moment go, and to get real results you will have to spend some time, have a sense of patience, and be willing to experiment with trial and error. But once you get going, you'll be churning out some visually stunning productions. If your using the software for serious purposes, remember to be actuate with any measurements, in order to produce an fair representation.

The main fault is that the software only has a single licence, this was both unexpected considering the price, and a bit disappointing. In my experience most people have two (or more computers), and a single licence will limit them. More importantly however, you can't install the software on your computer, work out a project, and then decided to install the software on your laptop and perhaps work on it while you're on the move.

The software is very undemanding on your computer, and will most likely run perfectly happy even on older machines.

It's worth persevering with the software, as I said it's easy to use once you've picked everything up, and considering its accuracy, its usefulness, and its ability to save you some money on architect cost, this software is a must have for anyone considering home improvement.

You can buy "Grand Designs 3D Renovation & Interiors" from Amazon.co.uk for the cost of £39.99, but it is only compatible with Windows XP & Vista.
