PhotoDraw 2000 comes as a package with Microsoft Office (Professional) 2000. Being mainly users of mainly Word2000, Excel 2000 and Paint Shop Pro 4 we didn't touch PhotoDraw. The little red and white icon stood on our desktop for over 6 months before finally getting used. Now it is getting used all the time! I've been used to PSP4 for months and knew it inside out, but as many of you might be aware it lacked a professional touch. It was coming up to my girlfriend's birthday. I wanted to make something special. I decided on a heart shaped background (to fit a photo frame) with a montage of photos of her and us together. I knew and have discovered that ... I have just purchased Microsoft Photodraw 2000 v2,and i must say that i am very pleased with it. Being a home user with limited experience using grapic's and design software i have found it very easy to use. I found the user interface well laid out and easy to navigate, there are all the feature's you would expect to find in a proffesional package, the effects that can be put together can be stunning. The help files are very good with step by step guides to help you get the results you want,if like me you like to click away and experiment it wont take long to acheive the effects you want this program is so user friendly. ... Being able to create perfect images is an achievement for any graphics program, but to get the average computer user to come anywhere near is a huge goal. I consider that this program reaches this goal. It is not that precise for fine work but does create decent logos and effects very easily which look professional. These are probably the main uses for a program which acompanies office - so it is useful to the average user. Good for use with office but not really a stand alone graphics program ... The features in photo draw certainly make it a worthwhile addition to the desktop. But I'd personally place it as more of an advanced version of paint than a replacement for Photoshop, et al. It DOES provide a multitude of excellent features including a superb magic selection tool and a gamut of filters making it a good tool for general touch-up work. The real downer is in it's lack of flexibility. I find myself looking for features that are either not there, difficult to use or simply well hidden. This might well be down to my comparative lack of experience of the toll, or it may be my bias towards photoshop. I'll definitely be keeping Photo draw around for ... Read the complete review

I gained this package through a MS student offer and it seems a perfect addition for use with MS Frontpage 2000. There is one problem though I don't have manuels for the software and frankly you do need them if your experience with graphics software is extremely limited like mine. I have tried countless times to create web graphics in this package. It's pretty simple to design them but once it comes to importing them it arrives on your screen at a massive size to what it was on your Photodraw page. I'm pretty sure that I'm doing something wrong though. My point is though is that it's not as simple to use as you'd think. The help section is pretty ... Read the complete review
