Advantages: Great for adding visuals to PowerPoint, Control over transparency and shadows, Designer fill effects

Disadvantages: Shaky edge tracing capability

If you are a regular user of PowerPoint, you'll find PhotoDraw great for getting round some of the limitations of PPT.

For example, the fill effects and transparency settings can be used to create much more interesting visual effects (eg overlapping circles with 'blended' colours) than are possible with Powerpoint alone.

PhotoDraw is also pretty good at annotating screen shots for including in a presentation.

Copy & Paste from PhotoDraw to PowerPoint works much better than the same operation with Corel Draw 6.

Photodraw is a bit limited for editing digital photographs, as the edge tracing/cut out capability is not too good. But I have found that pretty well all 'budget' photo editing software has limitations.

For photo montages I normally use a combination of PhotoDraw (for backgrounds), PSP4 (for airbrushing), Corel PhotoPaint 6 (for cutouts) and Photosuite III (for smart blur and other effects).

Welcome to Dooyoo. The opinion needs a bit more detail on the good and bad points of the software.
