Cafe World - Facebook Application
by nteer09
I use cafe world on a regular basis, it is so addictive. I'm now on level 42 and enjoy it as much as they day I first used it-although it takes me ten times as long to go up a level now. Cafe world explains how to cook and serve dishes etc on level one, then you are left to your own devices.
The thing I like about this game ... is that you are able to interact with your friends, and help each other to achieve goals. The idea is to visit your friends cafes daily, for which you will be rewarded and they will receive a tip (unless you state otherwise at the time of visiting). The higher level you are on the more points and money you will receive when you visit. You will need to leave a period of approximately 24 hours between each visit for you to receive any points and money. If you send your friends free food they will send it back to you and you will build a bigger business at a lower cost. They will also be more willing to help you with challenges if you ask them to.
On the subject of money: You are able to get cafe cash and coins if you make a payment by card or paypal. I wouldn't advise this because you will not get any of it back. It's easy to earn money by just playing the game and checking which medals you are close to achieving.
Try and get as many neighbours as you can as you will be able to make your cafe bigger and get a lot more points when you're visiting.
You will be able to alter you cafe as many times as you like (providing you have sufficient funds) and you can hire whoever you like off your facebook friends list. You will also be given the option at various stages of the game to complete challenges. My last challenge was to help a bride make her wedding cake in time for her wedding cake-I did this by enlisting the help of my friends, and earned myself lots of extra points. I have also built super stoves and my spice rack by asking for my friends help.
If you want to go up levels quickly and make more money, I would advise you to cook the meals which cost the most and take the longest. These are the meals which get you the most points-therefore moving you up levels and obtaining more medals for you. Cooking beef burgers only takes 5 minutes-but watch how many-or shall I say how few points you get!
I would recommend this game to anyone. It is suitable for children as there are instructions on the top right hand side of the screen and there is no fighting or violence involved in playing it. It teaches you how to work as part of a team.
Top tip: Look out for free scratch cards as you have the chance to win money, meals, decorations etc
Sometimes the game does crash due to the amount of people using it, but these problems are normally resolved within a couple of hours. It doesn't take as long to visit your friends cafes as it does to visit friends farms on farmville! Also, make sure you save your game after every use as it will protect your food from spoiling for that little while longer. Read the complete review |

FarmVille - Facebook Application
by nteer09
I never liked this game to start with, as unlike cafe world on facebook, there are no instructions of what to do. The first four or five things you do on the game a pop-up box will tell you how to do it. As with any game, you start off with hardly any money, and as you get further into the game you earn more money and medals. You have to ... pay to increase the size of your farm-but can make the farm exactly how you want!
I'm now on level 27 and have got quite a few neighbours-which means I can get more points and freebies from them! If you check on your friends profile pages and they have clicked to share their bonus points or give away animals which they have found on their farm then you can earn extra money and points that way.
The more money you earn on this game, the more land I would advise you to buy as you will make the money back when you plant seeds. I always plant seeds which make me the most money so that I can double and triple my money.
It can be quite time consuming visiting other peoples farms and fertilising their crops, but you will soon reap the rewards.
There aren't many games you can get all your friends involved in at once-so I think the idea of farmville is great!
For a couple of weeks I was clicking on each plant of land individually to plant seeds etc-until I realised that i could buy a tractor etc for £30,000 each. The tractor will plow up to four plots at once, the seeder will seed four plots and the harvester will harvest them when the final product is ready. When you reach level 20, you can work with your friends to complete jobs, earning you far more points, coins and prizes.
I send my friends lots of gifts because they send me them back. The gifts are free to send and allow you and your friends to build up your farm. You need to look after the animals-but if you purchase farmhands then they will do this for you, all at the click of one button. The best time to use farmhands is when you have lots of animals to sort out at once, as once you have clicked to use them then you cannot use them again. The same applies for your trees when they need harvesting-except for this you require an arbatorist.
At the moment you can send your friends spring eggs-and ask them to send you them back. These eggs are also redeemable for prizes. If any of your friends send you an egg request then accept it because you will then be rewarded with your choice of coins, fuel (for your tractor, harvester etc).
I've found that unlike other games you can sened your friends free gifts up to three times a day-once in the morning, in the afternoon and then at night time.
Increasing the size of chicken coops is done by publishing that you need help to do it. Then everytime your friends click on your profile and say that they want to help you, that counts towards your coop being increased. Normally you require ten friends to help you.
I have no interest in farming whatsoever-but I still find this game really enjoyable. I do find it annoying though if you plant seeds and they have withered when you go back to them-so when you plant them, plant seeds that will harvest around the time you go back to your computer. Withered crops still needs to be plowed-so will waste lots of your money for nothing.
Due to the level of interest in farmville, sometimes it can run quite slowly or crash-farmville always keep you updated with changes to improve the running of the game though. Read the complete review |

Cafe World - Facebook Application
by hunnybabyuk
CafeWorld is another one of those famous, addictive Facebook games (or applications), which take over you life. Don't play it unless you never want to leave your room again.
CafeWorld is basically a game where you setup & run your own cafe. You get a basic shell at the start of the game which is your cafe, it's very basic ... and it's up to you to get cooking items & build your cafe into an amazing place to eat.
You have to select items from the 'Cookbook' to put onto your stoves & cook, then when you come back when your food is ready & serve it on the counters for your waiters & waitresses to serve to your random customers. You hire friends to play the role as waiters & waitresses, your friends don't actually do it, but you pretend, the only "real" person to be in the game is you, you play the chef making sure items are cooking & when they are ready you put them on counters. Customers come & go and aslong as they are fed quick enough & nice food they rate you, you have a 'Customer Satisfaction' score in the top right hand corner, this can go to a maximum of 105 so the more happy customers the better your Satisfaction Score, so make sure you keep cooking & going back into the game. I find this exciting,, I always try to keep my rating top marks.
As the game progresses & as you do different things you gain 'Experience Points' which when you reach certain amounts takes you up a level, where you get extras & prizes for your cafe. You can also be neighbours with your friends, if you have friends who play the game like I do, you can be their neighbours and see how great (or not so great) your friends cafes are & how they are doing, see who is on the best level & how many experience points they have. I like this, as I am constantly in competition with my friends to have the best cafe and now I do out of my 30 or so friends who play the game, it can be quite a competitive game.
You gain coins by the sale of cooked food, each item costs different amounts to cook then is sold to your diners at different costs depending on the item. You can also earn coins by visiting your neighbours cafes & tasting their daily specials. Coins can be used to buy items for your cafe & are also needed to cook new items. You use coins to decorate your cafe, simply search for CafeWorld in google images and you can see exactly what you can make from your cafe, it gives you a great archievement feeling when you reach a high level & make a nice looking cafe. The game creaters, Zynga, are constantly adding new items, especially at seasonal times like Christmas & Easter, and creating extra things to do, to keep the game exciting & addictive.
I got hooked on this game from the moment I played it, I now make sure I have items cooking before I go to bed and the next morning, I have to make sure I have enough food on my counters ready before I go to work in the real world, it's that addictive, I have to get up 10 minutes earlier to make sure my food doesn't burn & that I have food ready for the day ahead and I know some of my friends are the same.
