... Home Premium although all the utilities are not available for Vista but printing is fine. It has memory card readers too which could be useful if you ve lost your camera USB lead or your PC does not have them. The only problem I ve had is a tempermental on/off button but otherwise it has been an excellent printer and good value. HP Photosmart 8250 ... HP 8250 IS YET ANOTHER HEAP OF JUNK FROM THIS MANUFACTURER. AFTER JUST THREE OR FOUR MONTHS NON USE, THE PRINTER IS PROGRAMMED TO "TIME EXPIRE" THE INK CARTRIDGES, EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE FULL. THIS IS DECEIPTFUL AND DISHONEST, AS NO MENTION OF SHELF LIFE IS MENTIONED ON THE REFILLS, OR WHEN PURCHASING THE ORIGINAL PRODUCT. Canon Pixma iP4600 ... falling into the trap of the cheap printer but expensive ink with my previous HP printer, this time I decided to do a bit of research into the cost of ink first. While the Canon is more expensive upfront than some printers though not by a huge margin, it makes up for it in cheaper running costs. The printer itself is a solid unit and has two paper loading sections one at the top which is very much what you would expect from an inkjet and a loading bay at the base of the printer. This was somewhat fiddly to use at first as it took some time to work out how to extend the lower cartridge so A4 paper could be loaded, but once it is done once it becomes easy to do i... Epson Stylus Photo R220 ... ve owned a R220 photo printer for the last 4 years after having brought it for about £50 new from Ebay. Its a 6 ink photo printer and I brought it to mainly be used to print photos from my digital camera with the odd bit of text when and where required. Now I did do my research at the time but the budget was a little tight as I d just finished University and become a dad at the same time so I couldn t afford a big do everything printer.
