Brother in general

The Brother HL-1030 Laser Printer is one of the best printers I have ever owned and I mean the best well okay it is not a colour printer and is no good for those wishing to print out photos etc but if you do a lot of printing and don't have time to wait around waiting for your stuff to print then this is the baby for you. I got my Brother HL-1030 for £30.00 from the loot paper but it is available in the shops for around about £150.00 if you shop around this may be a bit steep but it really is good value for money. This really applies to any brother printer available on the market today. They are totally reliable, although more expensive than other competing brands, but they're speed, quality, low printing costs and reliability makes them an attractive choice for business' schools and alike. The only thing i dont like about this new model is that the toner and drum are two seperate pieces, bringing the running costs up higher than normal, but still an extremely attractive buy if you need such a machine. I have used Brother Laser printers in the course of work for some years now and can only say that they are great. The older models such as the Brother HL8E are fantastic work horses and just keep on going and going producing very good quality print at a very low cost per page. The newer models such as the HL-760 are also excellent however have one drawback when compared with the older models. The newer models have a toner and a seperate drum. The older models had the two things combined, yes the toner on the newer models is cheaper but when you need a drum and combine this with the toner the cost is much higher than with the combined older model.
