Advantages: Great printers and service

Disadvantages: Does not do colour photos or pages.

The Brother HL-1030 Laser Printer is one of the best printers I have ever owned and I mean the best well okay it is not a colour printer and is no good for those wishing to print out photos etc but if you do a lot of printing and don't have time to wait around waiting for your stuff to print then this is the baby for you.

I got my Brother HL-1030 for £30.00 from the loot paper but it is available in the shops for around about £150.00 if you shop around this may be a bit steep but it really is good value for money.

The speed it prints out a page be it a webpage or a word document is really fast,it will print 10 pages per minute no problem.
The automatic feed tray will hold upto 250 sheets of paper so no need to keep filling it up if you are printing out leaflets or something of the sort.
There is also a manual feed so that you can feed the paper in individually or even if you require print onto A5 paper and all sizes of envelopes not to mention letter labels etc etc.

The printer has an automatic sleep function so that even if you go out leaving it on it will shut itself down until you make a new command saving on electricity and general wear on your printer.

I have tried printing out photos on this printer and it handles them quite well even if they are black and white only but obviously for the best results you should be buying a colour printer or photographic set.

Brother customer services are very good and if you ring up with a problem with your printer they will talk you through the possible troubleshooting moves and if they don't work will send out an engineer who for mine was out in 2 days which to me is not bad at all.
I also recieved an unreserved apology from them and a new printer having unfortunatly recieving a dud first one but have had no need to call them in the last 2 years since.


This Printer is overall a great buy for those who need to carry out lot's of top quality p
rinting quickly and is certainly most suited to an office computer or somebody who works from home and needs to keep work paper trails.

If Brother can come up with a printer as fast and reliable as this that also does colour printing then I will be first in line to buy.
