Advantages: Its cheap
Disadvantages: not good for coloured printing
I recently purchased a canon bjc 1000 printer, and have mixed feelings on it. Its brillant for text printing and black and white images. where it lets itself down badly is in its reproduction of colour images.Especially photographs, where the colour lacks definition, and the colours are just not bright enough. Having said all of that it is very easy to install, isnt to noisy and is able to cope with even the cheapest of paper if printed in black and white. At a cost of around £45 it is good value for money, although i would consider investing in a better one in the near future, simply because as i have said it isnt really able to cope with photographic images.

- 04/11/00 I have an expensive printer, but am going to buy a cheap one next time. This one sounds ideal. I have had four replacement printers in a year and the company have basically admitted that this last one won't live for long either. I will have to pay for future repairs as it is now out of guarantee. I think I may buy a cheap one and just chuck it out when it breaks! |
