Good Value & Adequate (Canon BJC 1000)
Member Name: linzib
Advantages: Cheap, Good Value Disadvantages: Slow
My little Canon BJC-1000 replaced a well-worked old black and white canon BJC-10. I bought the new printer for around £75 about a year ago, and in terms of what you get for your money this little gem comes out on top. I have had good success printing images in documents, but as I doubt I will be doing proper imaging stuff, and will have no need for many "extra" features, or higher resolutions offered by more expensive big brothers. OK, it isn't the fastest or quietest printer out there, but for the price bracket it is superb. As for reliability, it hasn't missed a beat. I recently had a friend who was looking for a printer scanner combo, and we looked around and for £110 plus VAT we got him a BJC-1000 and a Canon FB620 - they work well together, but both being on the same parallel port, means you cannot scan and print at the same time, but this is the only hint of any hassle.
