Rating:
4 factors when buying a printer: Cost, speed, quality and convenience. The 2100 performs remarkably well in all these areas. Firstly, you will have probably noticed that this is one of the cheaper printers of the entry level market. There are two parts to the cost of a printer, though, and the second (and usually unforeseen) cost is for the consumables. Printer manufacturers often sell the printer for a reduced price, then hit the consumers when they want to buy some ink for their new printer. Strangely, Canon doesn't seem to have used this as much as others. The price of the printer is low, and I was initially sceptical of the long term costs as the printer showed ... I have this printer, it is one of the lower end of the range models, it's fairly cheap in price to buy, but it is very basic and although it prints in both black & white & colour, you have to change the cartridge over, depending on what you want. My main gripe about this printer is the price of the ink cartridges. The printer itself may be cheap, but these cartridges certainly are not! The black cartridge costs about £25 to replace and the colour one around £34! This makes it very expensive to run if you want to print a large amount of material. It is only really useful for home printing small amounts unless you don't mind spending a lot of money on replacement ... Read the complete review

This printer is a great little buy. It offers reliability, an attractive design and also being a Canon gives you the reassurance that any faults will be sorted out in the minimum time, absoloutely hassle-free. The printer itself firstly looks good, as far as printers go. It is very quick on printing, especially in the 'draft' mode, and quality of almost all my printouts have been second to none. I regulary use its 'photoprinting' feature, and, although its rather slow in this respect, the picture quality is almost perfect and comparable to photoprocessing labs. To make maximum use of the photoprinting I would reccomend using 'glossy' paper. ... Read the complete review

I have used the BJC-210 for about 3 years and it has never once not worked or given me any hassle. I first bought the printer as i needed one fast for school, so i thought i would buy a cheap one, then upgrade at a later date. I have never needed to upgrade the printer. The only thing that is a set back about this printer is that it isnt Dual cartridge, so if you want a colour print, you have to put the colour cartridge in and take the black out. therefore if you have a colour page with black text, the black text will come out a very dark green. This is onlly noticeable though if you look very carefully and dosent worry me too much. The printer is ... Read the complete review

The Canon BJC 2100 does exactly what it says it does on the box, Prints! if you are looking for a budget priced printer then this is the one for you. I am now the very proud owner of this printer having just purchased it from my local computer shop, it cost me just £40.00, and I think it was an absolute bargain! It is so neat, takes up hardly any room on your dest at all. The cartridges are also a lot cheaper to buy now, than they were say twelve months ago, I looked up on the net today and the cartridges are £1.79 for the black and £2.89 for the colour, although the cartridges are smaller than you can buy for other printers, 10ml in the ...
