Advantages: Canon offer the cheapest cartridges, Good quality and speed printing

Disadvantages: Had to buy the lead separately

The Canon BJC2100 was the first printer I owned. I bought it in PC World and paid £59.99 for it at the time which was one of the cheapest they had.
I was on a budjet as I had just bought a new PC and the BJC2100 seemed to offer good printing speed and quality.

I was very pleased with the printing speed and quality - I used it mainly for text documents but when I did print the odd picture or two it came out fine.

The cartridges are very cheap to replace as well. Canon do the cheapest - cheaper than Lexmark, HP, etc. The black cartridges only cost around £6.99 where with HP they were around £24.99! Colour ones were £13.99.
I also got a lot out of the cartridges and hardly ever needed to replace them.

The BJC2100 connects to the PC via a parallel or USB lead (neither included) so I had to pay separately for that which cost £9.99.

Overall I would recommend this printer to the average user and people that would use it mainly for text documents. What's the point of paying out for a £150 photo quality printer if you are only going to use it for black and white?
