Canon BJC 3000

This b r i l l i a n t printer beats all the rest by far. We have one at the office linked up to 6 computers. Its picture quality is fantastic. It can handle all datafiles and can deal with commands coming from all six computers at once. A good one for family, office or hobby. I also bought a pack of Canon premium quality photographic paper. I also have a digital camera and I was very pleased with the results when I printed pictures of my family. The Canon BJC3000 is the ideal printer for domestic use because of its size, ease of use and most importantly has separate colour cartridges. Oh yes! The price comes into the equation as well. In addition to the manual there is a large colour printed card that shows in detail how to install the cartridges. In fact apart from getting some details for this review I haven't even opened the manual yet. But curiosity got the better of me and I eventually had a look at it after using the printer without a problem for over three months. I brought this printer about two months ago for just over a hundred pounds, for printing type as well as photographic output. The first thing you think when you get it out of the box is ‘where is the damn printer lead’, and the answer is it doesn’t come with one. Why do they imagine people wont need one; a hundred quid is a little expensive for an oversized paperweight. That aside, the printer was very easy to set up under Windows 98 and works like a dream. There are four separate ink tanks to ensure that no ink is wasted when one colour runs out.
