Advantages: relatively cheap to buy

Not in my opinion! When I first bought a PC I was prepared for all sorts of horrible technical things to go wrong with it, I was even convinced it would be DOA! after all I had religiously read every computer shopping magazine on the market so I was fully prepared for every eventuality! However my computer was absolutely fine and has run without a single hiccup ( hope that's not tempting fate!) for over two years now. This has not been the case with my printer! Canon is a big name, so you kind of expect quality! This particular model is awful though, it's badly designed - mine is continually full of dust which doesn't do the heads or print quality any favours, the paper tray is flimsy and has a habit of falling off and the ink cartridges are expensive. It's also slow, noisy and unattractive. I really can't think of anything I do like about it! Mine has been particularly temperamental and refuses to talk to my computer most of the time which isn't very helpful! I'm not alone either, my parents bought the same printer ( earlier model) and had exactely the same problems. Next time I shall stick with good old Hewlett Packard!
