Advantages: good basic printer, reliable

I've had one of these for about 2 years now and have found it to be a very reliable and easy to use printer.

The quality of text is excellant, photos are not up to todays standards but it is 3 years old, colour text and basic graphics are very good.

This has two ink tanks, black and a colour one so operating costs are not too bad. Replacement cartridges are no where near as dear as the equivilent Epson or HP printer. A good range of oem cartridges are also available which are cheaper still, black is about £2.50, colour about £4.50.

The printer is easy to install and easy to use. Press the button and the paper loads first go and prints as you would expect. The quality of photo / graphic output is no where near the standards of todays 1200 dpi printers but it perform well on most everyday tasks.

No longer made, be wary of second hand ones, the print head needs replacing after about 3 years, this is about £30. A brand new basic printer costs only £50 -60 so if you get one secondhand pay accordingly.
