The maximum resolution that you can get is 720x360dpi. Though the resolution is not very high the cost of printing photographs using this printer is definitely cheaper than most high resolution inkjet printers in the market. It comes with new technology that Canon claims will make the images look sharper and clearer. When used with special paper, the quality is amazing. The colours are bright and clear and the skin tones very lifelike. You can also turn this printer into a scanner capable of scanning up to 360dpi. All you need is an optional IS-22 scanner catridge and your printer is ready to scan photographs instead.
