Canon BJC 5100

This printer has many bonus points for instance,the quality is pretty smooth. The time it takes to print an average page of text is about 30 seconds which I feel is pretty good in anyones book. It does take a little time to wake up when you switch it on and the noise it makes is a bit loud. However this is a small price to pay for quality products. I have had a small problem with my printer but the service i recieved from the Canon engineers was second to none...Brilliant. This isn't the highest quality printer, nor is it a low quality printer. It prints your papers pretty well and that's about that! I bought this printer because I needed a printer that was relatively cheap, worked, and would last me for years to come. I got it with a manufactuers' rebate so it turned out to be around $90 (£60). When i bought the PC, I decided to upgrade to this printer as all the gumpf from canon talked about quality and versatility. It is a great black and white printer and will go for ever, but colour and then photo quality, forget it!!! Compared to epsons photo quality, canon is the poor relation, the serial killer of the family, and as such it should be banished to a cupboard under the stairs!! The A3 capability is a bonus, and was a selling point as we produce posters for school etc, but as we also like digital photography, i am now saving up for a second better printer.
