Advantages: Cheap replacement cartridges, very reliable
Disadvantages: None
I purchased this printer over six years ago and it has never given me any problems- (probably tempting fate now)
It is used pretty much every day both for black and white printing and for printing Photo's. I find the quality is still really good even after all this time.
This is the second Cannon printer that I have bought and I will certainly be buying another when I decide to replace this one.
One of the key reasons for buying another Cannon is the cost of the printer cartridges and the fact that they seem to last forever. My Dad had a n HP printer that he hardly ever used but seemed to constantly be buying new cartridges - he got so fed up with it in the end that he binned it and bought a Cannon after my recommendation.
It is very easy to use and set up , easy to replace the cartridges, and get the correct setting for the type of paper you are going to use.
The only problem I have had recently - and this may have something to do with the age of the printer is that one of the rollers slips slightly sometimes when the paper is fed in when there aren't many sheets in the feeder.
This printer has served me really well and I wouldn't hesitate to but another Cannon
Summary: Fanatstic Printer - great investment
