Advantages: excellent quality, cheap to run, individual cartridges
Disadvantages: Expensive initially
This printer prints superb photos and documents. I am talking professional quality.
When I was looking for a printer to replace my old Epson, which gobbled up ink and was for ever getting blocked jets, I decided I wanted to get the best quality prints with relatively cheap ink replacement.
I didn't want a scanner or a fax machine and I didn't need to digitally alter my images on the printer - after all I have a computer to do that.
That is why I chose this printer.
It has 6 see through ink cartridges, which can individually be replaced. Interestingly though all the colours seem to be being used at the same rate, apart from the black, which I have replaced.
Cartridge change very staight forward.
In the event that your nozzles do get blocked you can easily replace the print head for around £40 - £50. That was a big factor for me after my Epson experience.
I haven't been disappointed, the quality is fantastic, even draft is good, the running costs are cheap.
Although it was an expensive printer initially I believe in the long term this printer will save me money.
It has a couple of accessories, one for easily printing a lot of 4"x6" prints, and another for printing directly on special DVDs or CDs.
You can also plug your camera directly into the printer.
If you want a top quality, no frills printer go for this one.

--------
I paid £250 at PC world, but I think you could do better than this on the Web.
