When I came to my office several weeks ago, I was amazed by the new printer lying on the spot where our old printer used to be.
It's our new central printer Canon imagePROGRAF IPF820 wherein several computers are link to it for printing architectural designs as part of my job. My god it was twice the size of our old Canon printer we've been using for the last five years. At first, I was afraid to use d it and after some basic orientation by our technical guy, I learn to appreciate this magnificent piece of technology.
As the specification says, it has a huge 44 inches wide printing area which is very ideal for printing CAD designs which is very helpful to me. It's very large built-in HDD of abour 80 Gb which enables it to store data to our advantage since there are several persons using it. And the operation is very simple, as our tech guy says "don't be fooled by the looks of it, size doesn't matter when it comes to simplicity of its operation". And he was right, it's definitely as simple as using the common printers.
The ink cartridges are also has a big capacity at 700ml for the five ink colors it uses. Its already two weeks now and I didn't notice the change of the ink
tank. And we are using them none stop for printing (be it new designs or design revisions). Our tech guy reminds us that even if the ink tank is empty and I'm on the middle of your printing job, I need not have to worry since the new Canon Image PROGRAF iPF820 is equip with the unique sub-ink system. This means that I can replace the ink without stopping the printer. Very efficient technology...
Printing different size of media is no problem at all, as its dual media roll (another Canon technology's first) can automatically switch between different size and types of printing media paper or printing manner. Need no worry also if one of your printing media/paper bay runs out of paper since it has an automatic detection system which tracks the paper usage and warns me on the amount of media left on the bay. It's borderless printing is also an edge for us busy office workers because we need not do additional trimming and finishing after each borderless printing option. And after each printing is done, it's double rotary cutter immediately cuts the printed material which is much faster and very versatile to me (I hate sharp objects you know..LOL).And during long print runs or on a break, we just left the printer doing its job without even worrying a thing. As it was equip with a high-capacity media basket which collects the print-out very systematically.
Truly, this new innovation of printer provided by Canon helps us making the edge on our work and efficiently providing us with the right equipment for my job...
