Advantages: Reliable and durable, cheap to run.

Disadvantages: Budget printer, not especially quick.

When I think of the Canon Pixma iP1500, I think of value for money. So many printers that are cheap to buy are anything but cheap to run due to the, frankly, ridiculous cost of many ink cartridges. This is no such problem with this printer as, despite not knowing off the top of my head the exact price of cartridges, I know they are a great deal cheaper than for those printers in a similar price bracket. There can be no questions marks against the durability or reliability of this printer. It hasn't failed me, or the rest of my family, in the 4 or so years we've owned it despite fairly consistent use.

Pros:
+ A reliable and long-lasting budget-priced printer
+ Reasonably (or as reasonable as can be expected) priced ink cartridges.
+ Not as bulky as some of its competitors

Cons:
- Not the quickest at getting the job done, especially when it comes to colour printing.
- Obviously, there are better printers out there but if you want a printer that is reliable and not going to cost the earth either initially or due to the cost of ink then you could do much worse than to purchase this.
- There maybe better alternatives now on the market as this is an older model.
