Advantages: None

Disadvantages: Slow to get going, smudges often

I have had Canon printers before and have been pleased with them but this new printer is a disappointment. I make my own cards using photos, and also print off letters with photos on them. It is not so good even on ordinary paper. It leaves smudges on the trailing or leading edges and doesn't like glossy photo paper at all.
I telephoned the company to tell them but got the distinct impression that their only explanation was that I was doing something wrong. It also gets through ink like no other printer I have ever had and has, in about 4 months, cost me more than twice as much in ink as I paid for it. I have also ruined numerous documents and photos so the cost in paper has also added to the ink costs. It also takes a very long time to get going when you switch it on so there is no point in thinking that you can print something quickly. I can't wait to get rid of it.
