Advantages: Cheap, easy to use, stylish
Disadvantages: quite big
Purchasing this printer on Amazon for £49.99, I feel I have had my money's worth already in only a month's use.
After previously owning a Lexmark, I used to pay around £30 for a set of inks, only to find them run out after very little use. The inks for this machine are all single, allowing you to replace only the colours you require - saving a lot of money. The cartridges themselves are clear, so then you can see the inks inside them - a good way of seeing how much is left.
Having the capability of printing 25ppm in black text, or 17ppm in colour, is also quite handy - especially for such a low price. The cartages are very easy to install, my simply pushing them in place; a small red LED is in place on each tank to inform you when it has been put in place properly.
Photo printing is also quite professional, with all the colours looking sharp; I found that the printing quality results don't show fully until you print on a sheet of photo paper... the output unfaultable.
The printers design uses the following dimensions:
Width = 17.2in
Depth = 11.9in
Height = 5.7in
Weight = 10.8lbs
I found the printer to be quite bulky on first opening the box; however, its curves and shine make it look quite stylish. An advantage I found about the design is the way in which you can shut all the flaps when the printer is not in use very easily, making it look much neater.
The Printer also uses two paper inputs - through the top and the bottom. The idea of this is for placing plain paper in the front, and photo paper in the top, although I don't use it in this way.
The printer uses only two buttons: the 'ON' button, and another to feed paper through the system (maybe if it gets stuck?). Another option is on the front, allowing you to plug your camera directly into the printer via a USB port, meaning you wouldn't need to use your computer.
Overall a very good buy, and well worth the money
Thanks for reading.
Summary: a well 'worth the money' printer
