I bought this all in one because of all the features it had including duplex printing i.e. 2 sided printing where it turns the page over for you, cd/dvd printing via a mounting tray and film/slide scanning via a dedicated mount. I have rarely seen all these features combined in 1 unit. The canon is also quite reasonable when it comes to replacing the ink tanks but there are 5 tanks to replace as they have separated all the unk colours and also included 2 black ink tanks (1 black ink tank has a larger capacity).
