Advantages: Excellent quality prints, nice size and looks

Disadvantages: SLOW!, noisy

I have to say to start with, that the print quality of this printer is excellent, that I cannot grumble about.

What really annoys me is pressing print! This little printer moans and whines for about 45 seconds before actually doing any printing. I have queried this with the manufacturer and repair companies, who say it is normal for Canon!

I used to have a Lexmark, which I loved till it decided to stop prinitng properly, and when you pressed print that's what you got, a print.

I press print on the S400 and I wait, listen to it moan, wait some more, listen to the ink cartridges whizzing back and forth, wait some more and eventually after having breakfast and coffee, there may be a print! Ok may be I am exaggerating about the breakfast, but when I press print I want it to print, not for it to sit around wondering whether it should or not! As soon as I can afford it I am getting another Lexmark, the canon can be sold on to someone who is prepared to wait for their documents, I'm impatient I need them NOW!

We have just bought a Canon S600 and that is just the same, but its worth it for the quality of print I suppose.

Sorry for the low rating but you didn't really say enough about the spec etc!I have a new Canon after 2 Lexmarks and you are right, Lexmark is far superior. Kim :-)
