The Color Proofer 7600 series features a new advanced Micro Piezo printhead technology and 7-color UltraChrome ink system. It offers unparalleled output quality with the highest resolution available at 2880dpi, and its low running costs deliver cost effective prints every time. Print quality is unbeatable with the widest color gamut ever. The seven individual UltraChrome ink set includes Light Black - a world first. The new Light Black enhances the gray scale gradations, therefore producing smoother tonal variations in color and grayscale images. Choose between three different Black ink modes to optimize black ink density for various media types and printing applications. This large format printer is also the first of its kind to offer true border-free printing on all four sides of the sheet. The new EPSON 7 color UltraChrome ink set offers vibrant color and black & white prints, with lightfastness in excess of 75 years. Extremely smooth tonal gradations in color and monochrome are also achieved, with the introduction of a third light color ink, light black.

This improved way of producing color and black & white printing, allows a truly neutral grayscale image with no color ""cross over"" effects, as well as producing warm or cold grayscale prints using all seven colors. It also offers a straight paper path with automatic print head adjustment, ensuring the maximum print quality is obtained on heavy fine art media up to 1.5mm in thickness.
