Advantages: Cheap, Cheap Cartridges, Easy Install and Setup
Disadvantages: Pretty Noisy
Okay, there are a few bad points so I'll get them out of the way first. 1. This is one noisy printer. My previous printer (an antique monochrome BJC 200ex) was a lot quieter. 2. USB only and the cable is not included. 3. A little bulky for all it does. Now the parts you have been waiting to hear. First this printer only costs £50 and falling. The running costs are almost non-existent; you can pick up unbranded cartridges for £5 each. The printer resolution is 1440dpi and can print 6 pages per minute which is a little slow but I am a home user and will rarely print more than a couple of pages at a time. I have made a few CD covers for personnel compilations (ooohhh, controversial) and the print quality on the glossy paper is great. The installation is very smooth and is user friendly. For example when I first installed the drivers it told me to put the cartridge in and even gave an on screen demonstration. The printer is also very clever because it moves the cartridge bays to the middle for easy access. After this it will then offer to align the printer heads for optimal quality print. I would recommend this to any home user who just wants a cheap and cheerful printer, which offers exceptional quality print whenever it is required.
