Advantages: Speeds are faster, resolution is 1440, easy to use

Disadvantages: big build, tri colour cartridge, noisy at times

The Epson 900 appeared a while ago with an upturn in speed. It could print a fair few pages in a minute, as long as they were text with little pictures.
This though was great as an office printer and was off putting by price.

The 980 follows this with similar price and very clone fashion looks.
Still it remains a better office printer as the speeds are now faster with a slightly improved edge to it. Rather like what the 850 did to the 800.

Great improvement and robustic build which in a poor case can be a touch too big.
Its not as small as standard SOHO printers.

The detail settings are the same as usual and the installation as always is easy.
A much recommended printer for the fast printing office, as a cheaper alternative to laser but not quite as fast.

It was a continuation of the 900 printer review. I was making note in description of any noticeable differences. It is has excellent image quality due to the picaliter drop size which is adjustable on the fly.
This minumises the showing of big dots.
Photo quality is nice for this price range. Real photo is another few hundred pounds.

More info needed before I can rate it any higher, sorry. I'm looking for a good photo-quality printer right now actually, and it looks like I'll be getting it from Novatech.co.uk, £40 for a decent one just now...
