Epson Stylus C40

Newest Review: ... I probably would have bought it had it not as it produces a suitable quality for WP documents and it’s price is fairly low. ... more

... The big cost of course is the inkjet cartridge, I got my 1st set with the machine. You can operate 1 with a scanner which is useful when trying to produce photocopies etc, this lacks a stand alone quality the Epson CX3200 has. It is quite robust, after 4 years mine is still producing several prints a week. Because of more sophisticated models on the market I would not recommend paying much for 1. Some companies will throw one in with a package....more

Crowned Review Epson Stylus C40: Will someone come up with a witty title!? (1162 words)
by - written on 05/09/02 (Very useful, 665 readings)
Rating:

I’ve never been a fan of Epsons myself. I’ve always much preferred Hewlett Packards, simply because of their reliability, but it was when looking out of a printer for a friend of mine, who really doesn’t know that much about computers that I came across the Epson Stylus C40. All the friend wanted was a printer that was colour, held two cartridges (colour and black) and was cheap…oh and of course, a printer that printed! The Epson simply looked at me on Amazon and cried out to be bought, because it had all that and was under £50! Taking delivery of the box, I was really concerned about how small the box was, but that was due to ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review XXX dpi + XXX ppm = confusion (968 words)

You'd think that with an A-Level in computing I?d have a decent idea what to look for in a printer, no chance. When I went to get my latest printer (although a good few months ago now!!) I knew that I needed something that produced a decent level of quality print, was reasonably priced and fairly quick. Unfortunately knowing and understanding are two totally different things! When I told the sales rep this he started talking in dots per inch and pages per minute ? all of which went straight over my head!! He showed me several different printers and edged me towards the Epson Stylus C40UX. Although looks were not important in the buying process I was ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Epson Stylus C40: Cheap and cheerful but good quality (708 words)

Do you have the need for a new printer? Perhaps you are considering purchasing one for printing out photographs but unsure about parting with huge amounts of money to get a phot quality printer? Well fear no more. You dont need to pay a big whack for decent photographs as long as you are not in any hurry. One of the big names in Printers is Epson. They know printers and have been in the business for years. In fact, I think they make the BEST inkjet printers around. One of the lowest ranking models in their range is also one of the best value for what you are getting. The C40UX. What this printer brings you is a stylish 2 cartridge printer at ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Talking with dolphins (1003 words)
by - written on 24/01/04 (Very useful, 523 readings)
Rating:

In a recent television series looking at the one hundred experiences people want to accumulate before they die, sitting up high was swimming with dolphins. Now, I can sort of understand that - if the opportunity arose I wouldprobably take it. However, just listen to the sounds they make - this is not the hauntingly echoing sounds of whales that with a little accompaniement from electrical instruments sells music CDs to help you relax. No! Dolphins sound irritating. Basically a dolphin clicks. Now, I'm sure dolphin lovers everywhere are getting ready to shout me down - they're intelligent - they have superb vocal communication - all of this I accept. But - the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Epson Stylus C40: Ah bless!!! (629 words)
by - written on 14/01/03 (Very useful, 1230 readings)

I've got to be honest, the reason I bought this printer is because I needed one for when I got my own place, and because it was ridiculously cheap! I went to Uni and decided to quit because I didn't like it there, roundabout the same time the printer I already had (an Epson Stylus 460) decided to quit too. It cost £150 when I originally bought it, lasted about one year then just died on me, and no matter how hard I kicked it it simply wouldn't work. So soon after I moved in with my girlfriend and decided a new printer should be near the top of my things to buy list. Of course price was a serious issue, and because I didn't plan on ...  Read the complete review
