I never have been all that lucky with computer peripherals. How many people do you know who still use a hand scanner? None? Well think again, because you're talking to one. During my career as a home computer user (as opposed to computer games player) I have owned a grand total of three printers- the first was a Star dot matrix 'sound like a pneumatic drill' printer, that cost the earth but gave me a reasonable printout when I was doing word-processing with my venerable Amiga 500 and the word processing package that I consider to be the best ever, Final Writer. You turn on your printer (in a non sexual way of course, unless you have a some weird fantasy), press the print button (its G spot for the people with the weird fantasies), and what happens? (Weird fantasy people leave the answer to this in a comment please). Yep, thats right, you get some weird spinning/scratching/unhealthy sounding noises, the printer takes in a piece of paper, which gets caught in such a way that you can't get it all out, there is still some inside the printer (you know, juat like with a jar of peanut butter, you can't quite get all of it out, especially the bits underneath the rim!), you hear a last clank, and the printer passes on ...
