Excellent, cheap cartridges & repairable!! (Epson Stylus C44UX)

Advantages: £4 for a full set of cartridges & you can repair the common fault yourself!

Disadvantages: Not the fastest in the world

I have read the other reviews about these failing after so many pages & yes this is true, but......you can repair this yourself, there is a downloadable program called the ssc epsom utility program & this when worked properly will cure the problem, usually the problem is the lights are flashing for no reason, this is due to the page count being exceeded in the printers main chip & sometimes it thinks the ink wells are full when they are not!!, this program when downloaded & run will reset your printer & totally cure your problem!!, easy, most repair centres charge £30 just to do this which you can now do for free!!
As for ink I get mine from the local shopping centre, they are equivalents but do just the same job & only cost £4 for a black & colour (full set), now that is cheap!.
Only downside is it isnt super fast when printing high quality pictures, but it does me fine, it is small enough to not get in the way & the picture quality on photopaper is top class!!, it prints draft & letter quality fairly quickly & also in excellent quality, plus it is very economical on ink!
This printer cost me only £50 over a year ago & is still going strong :)
