We purchased this printer as a compromise between quality and cheap cartridge price. The cartridge prices are reasonable and they last for quite a long time under normal use. We were also pleasantly surprised with the quality of the print outs. The text is quick to print and good quality. Colour pictures are also relatively quick to print with a good quality depending on the printing preferences selected. The printer was easy to set up and new drivers are easily downloaded from the epson web site. When the printer is not used for a long period, roughly two months, we found we had to run the cleaning cycle and also realign the print heads which uses ink. This printer is economical and fast and has so far been very reliable. It is easy to clean and runs quietly without disturbing anything on the desk. A great purchase for a home office or just for personal use.
