Epson Stylus C60 ... to 12 ppm (colour) - capacity: 100 sheets - parallel, USB / The EPSON Stylus C60 is designed to make professional-quality color printing simple, and bring an amazing combination of ultra-high resolution results, flexible operation and affordability into the home. Using pinsharp true black and vibrant colors, it has the power to revolutionize a range of applications, from letters, documents and presentations to homework, greetings cards and vibrant images. Through EPSON Variable-Sized Droplet Technology, this engineering masterpiece can create several different sizes of ink droplet, which enables better results, increased efficiency and higher speeds. It works by targeting the larger dots at areas of block color and keeping the smaller ones - including the virtually invisible EPSON 4 picolitre Ultra Micro Dot - for areas where fine detail is required.

EPSON advanced printer drivers include a range of features designed to make extra creativity and control simple. These include the EPSON Status Monitor 3, an on-screen printer information source, which relays everything from ink levels and paper stocks to resolution settings, media selection and maintenance. They also include EPSON PhotoEnhance 4 software, which automatically optimizes settings to bring out the best in your prints. This is particularly useful for lower resolution images such as digital camera or Web downloads. In addition, various special effects, custom backgrounds and other image enhancement tools are available - all highly effective but all amazingly straightforward to use. To get the best out of your printer, you have to put the best in. With this in mind, EPSON has developed QuickDry inks for each of the four colors in the print process - cyan, magenta yellow and true black. These are specially formulated to penetrate the paper and dry as soon as they leave the printer, holding their shape and ensuring the clearest, sharpest, most vibrant results possible. The Intellidge ink cartridges also feature a reclosable valve, so that if you need to remove a cartridge temporarily - say to use a full one for a big print job - it will not only "remember" ink levels when you put it back, but the ink will be as good as new.

Newest Review: ... annoying you. This is a process called charging the ink, something which Epson printers seem to like doing. Once this is ... more

... done, it will only normally do it daily, when you send something to print the first time in the morning for instance. It takes about a minute to complete and a lot of noise happens, again something that doesn?t happen with good old HP?s (I must keep remembering why I bought these printers!!). PRINT QUALITY Using normal mode this printer will give you acceptable quality prints, ok, quite good prints. The black is good, but when using colour text, it seems to me that the colour text is actually bolder than the black ...more

Crowned Review Epson Stylus C60: Yet another boring but factual opinion! (1636 words)
by - written on 01/04/03 (Very useful, 338 readings)
Rating:

Printers are an expensive business, so unlike the old day?s when you could go get any printer and it would do, these day?s we have a plethora of choice staring at use, some offering standard printouts, some offering the best photo technology yet and some offering scanners and photocopiers as well as a humble printer to boot. So what?s with all the choice? Well it all depends on what you are actually going to be using your printer for. If it?s for letters, homework, general house stuff or playing around with, then you can?t really go far wrong with the Epson C62. Now, I?m a bloke who favours HP printers when it comes down to it, I prefer them for their print ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review The Art of Printing? (897 words)

I`ve been meaning to write this opinion for ages, but every time a get around to it I start to think about how boring the subject actually is! I am writing this opinion about the Epson Stylus C60 printer (now I`ve bored you with the name I will try and give you an interesting and informative review!). This, hopefully!, is it? For as long as I can remember I have always used an Epson printer at home, from when my Dad first bought a computer. Since then technology has advanced at an outstanding rate (here I am now!) and printers have not escaped this, they too have advanced a long way. You can now get a photo quality printout from you £80 printer, not bad eh? ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Epson Stylus C60: The stylish printer from Epson (547 words)
by - written on 08/11/02 (Very useful, 923 readings)
Rating:

Our printer had gone wrong, the costs of repairs was such that it wasn?t worth bothering. The man in the shop suggested we buy an Epson Stylus C60, a colour printer it only costs £55 which I personally thought was terrific value considering the fact that our old printer cost double that. It looked really good, much better than the Hewlett Packard printer that I had. With a really sleek, trendy design it was perfect for the whole family to use. It looked actually really nice when put on my computer desk. Ok, looks aren?t everything as we no doubt all know but let?s just say that it passed on that account anyway. Installing the printer was really ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review You get what you pay for... (388 words)

OK, it's been discontinued, but I'm sure you can still get them from somewhere, and that there's a few new ones circulating, so I'll go ahead with giving my opinion on the C60. This was my second ever printer, having owned a HP for some years. The printer itself is nice and curvy and pleasing to look at. The print quality is what you'd expect from a printer of this price, but I was surprised and pleased to find out that when printing on photo quality paper, the quality of printing is wonderful - set it to photo quality ink jet paper and you have yourself some near lab-quality pictures. Also, the ink usage is far better than I could ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Epson Stylus C60: C60 Budget printer (83 words)
by - written on 16/09/02 (Somewhat useful, 379 readings)
Rating:

I bought one of these because it is cheap and it broke the first day of use. Epson were very good and replaced it the next day and that broke. The paper feed broke on both. I print alot and these printers are for beginners and I should have known better. Quality is ok and ink compatibles are cheap but so is the printer and you get what you spend. It is very slow. Cant say much more about but it is cheap. ...  Read the complete review
