I cannot speak too highly of the Epson Stylus C66. I have had problems with every single printer i've used, either breaking down or not being of the highest quality. The Stylus c66, has however, yet to give me ANY problems whatsoever (touchwood).
My technological knowledge is not vast, but my hadns on experience with this printer tells me that it is extremely good.

Pages are printed quickly and to a high standard. You can choose also to what standard it should print at. The default is "text" which is ideal for finalised documents such as letters. However there are other settings, such as "draft" which can be used to print out essays so that you can proofread. "Drafts" print in grey, are readable and waste little ink. You can also select "text and image" which is suitable for documents such as newspaper articles. The two final options are "photo" and "best photo" which can be used to print high quality images.

Ink cartridges also last for a long time, i've found. The shortest a black ink cartridge has lasted fro me, personally, has been 2 months and that was a month were i was printing about 5 or 6 6-10 page essays a week on top of general usage. I have also found it to last for 3 or 4 months sometimes. Cartridges are also a lot cheaper than other brands (a clue, they begin with an L, have an "exmar" in the middle and finish with a K)

Also being a bit of a luddite I often struggle with setting up hardware but this printer was very simple. I set it up in 5 minutes. You just plug it in, wire it up with the PC using a USB cable and then you use the installation CD to set it up. If I can do it, anyone can.

The only problem i've found is the occasional streak in my print but that is easily fixed using the maintenance tools.

(P.S This is my review from Ciao)
