I bought this printer nearly 4 years ago when starting at a Boarding school. I needed a printer in my room and Didn't want anything too fancy. I owned and regularly used my Epson C86 for four years before, sadly, it simply stopped printing. When I called the support team and described the problem they, very fortunately, offered to replace the machine instantly. I had an extended warranty and received a new machine within days. The C86 is, in my opinion, quite a bargain. The printing quality can be adjusted (from 150dpi to 300dpi) and different "ink usage" settings can be made. I have always used Epson inkjet printers and this is no exception. As I have a mono laser (Samsung ML-1510 - read review) I don't really need an inkjet for text printing, but I bought this as it was going cheap and had the ability to print semi-decent photos on photo paper. First of all, the printer comes with 4 ink cartridges one for each colour - cyan, magenta and yellow, and then the black.
