Advantages: good performance: budget price
Disadvantages: expensive ink cartridges
The Epson Stylus Colour 670 is a budget priced printer, a fact that actually deters some people. However, it's performance is far from budget and is an excellent choice for anyone considering a new printer. The average user would run the printer at the normal fast pace which provides a very good result and will serve for most purposes. If , however, you wish to print photographs, then running the machine at it's slowest speed will produce excellent quality. There are many printers on sale at far higher prices and of higher quality, but unless you use your printer for professional photography or something of similar demand then you are unlikely to be able to tell the difference in the results. As with most of the sensibly designed printers, the ink cartridges are separate for black and colour, so you do not need to replace the colour when the black expires. Nevertheless, it can prove expensive if you use a lot of ink.

- 14/01/01 Asylum's opinion on the Epson printer was very useful to me. I'm a new computer user and haven't yet got a printer and haven't yet got the faintest idea how to choose one!!! Thank you Asylum. |

- 29/12/00 Yes It's an excellent printer, I use the compatable cartridges that cost around £20 for a colour and a black and never noticed any loss in quality. |
