Advantages: Great all-round printer
Disadvantages: Flawless
The Stylus Color 670 printer is part of the Epson range and if you’re on the lookout for a printer it’s definitely worth a second look. I have this printer and I can’t fault it. Apart from looking quite stylish, Epson gets the job done with ease whatever it may be. It has many different settings which enable you to monitor or adjust the printing settings simply, quickly and whenever you want. This printer comes with a software CD Rom and is installed easily onto your system. With this printer you can also use different dpi’s for different printing purposes for example you may wish to increase it if you want to print out a photo on photo quality paper. The paper is just glossier than usual paper. The settings allow you to print out in colour or black and white. You can alter the half-toning, the saturation, brightness and contrast of the coloured inks. There are streams of features for all your computering needs and wants. You can even when printing a sequence of documents decide which order you want them printed in. You then have the facilities to monitor the consumables (level of ink left in each cartridge), there’s a nozzle check, head cleaning and head alignment. All these functions help to keep this Epson 640 running smoothly. Well I haven’t any complaints. There are light indicators on the printer itself also which indicate when there’s no paper left, the cartridges have run out and there’s a power led showing when the printer’s on and off. You have a power button, a paper feed button and an extra button needed for cleaning the ink jets. This printer is well worth the money and will last you a fair while. The ink cartridges will sponge more money out of you than the printer. They’re about £20 each and you need two, a black one and a colour. That’s the only thing however they’re no more expensive than any other printer inks. Brilliant for all home or work
tasks and can easily be connected up with a scanner. Top knotch!
