Epson Stylus Color 850

We use a printer a lot at home. It is on the go several times a day for various reasons and it takes some abuse. Originally we had an Epson Colour 600 that we bought several years ago and it did us just fine but when it packed up (as these things eventually do!) we decided we would prefer to get something a little quicker to print with. If you're after a reasonable print quality at a low cost, this printer is for you. The specification of this printer shows that it can print upto a resolution of 1400dpi x 720dpi. Although the resolution claims to be good don't expect amazing photo quality but it's not bad quality for a cheap printer. I find that this printer is noisy as well which gets on my nerves (that's why I sold it on). After my old Canon printer (Rest In Peace) passed on I was in desparate need of a new printer. I am a part-time student and the amount of printing I had to do to get my projects in on time meant I couldn't realistically use the University printers... After our Lexmark 1000 Color Printer seemed to give up the ghost (although during its lifetime it had performed great) someone lent us an Epson 850 color Printer, which we still have at the moment, but after the performance of this one I would have to think twice before buying another Epson. Epson Printers. Probably the most disappointing range of printers I have had the misfortune to use. As a company we use some 100 computers and printers through our head office network and I have to say that our experience of poor Epson product has been enlightening. From the excessive head cleaning programmes which waste approximately one quarter of your ink cartridge to the general unreliability of the product have forced us to rethink our IT strategy.
