great printer (Epson Stylus Photo 870)
Member Name: endo
Advantages: great quality Disadvantages: a bit slow and expensive to run
This printer turns out great images on photo paper and reasonable images on normal paper. It has a 5 coulour cartridge and a black cartridge. Though they are cheap, the printer consumes quite a lot at 1440*720dpi, but it's worth it. There's practically no "pixelisation" and the shades are totally uniform. The straight paper path allows it to print on thicker paper than average printers. The text quality is good even though it's not the fastest printer for this. Build quality seems higher than average, and drivers are great. The drivers allow to center images to page print them to fit page and allow lots of tweaking to the actual printing (rgb/hue/saturation etc.). Summary: |

Good Budget Printing!
A great product... but not for Linux!
Simple, easy to use, good value
Easy to use for those of us scarred of technology
Very high quality prints
Once a good printer, but long overtaken by newer models.
I wanna portrait
