Advantages: good quality photo prints

Disadvantages: occasional smudges & dots on print

I've had my Epson Photo 870 for about 8 months and I must say that when it's working well I do get superb prints from it but quite often, especially if I'm printing a photo that has a green grass background, I do get coloured lines and dots of different colours dotted here and there on the picture. This means I have to throw it away and start again and the cost of ink and the photo paper is not cheap.

This happens whatever the type of paper I use but is worse if I use matt paper or card. It does happen on glossy too but not quite as badly.

Also if I'm printing A4 colour prints, I find that I only get about 15 prints to a colour cartridge so it's quite expensive to run but I suppose not nearly as expensive as sending a film to a lab to be printed.
