Construction. This printer has rather modest dimensions. The body is executed from light plastics, only bottom is painted in darker color. The giving tray equipped with the moved terminator of a breadth of sheets is located in a back part of body under angle approximately 45 degrees. The receiving tray in work position is throwed off forwards and is decomposed. The access to the printing mechanism for setting and replacement of cartridges is carried out with the help of throwed off up cover. Through the transparent window of a cover it is possible to observe of transition of the carriage. The controls (three buttons and two indicators) are located on a ... Read the complete review

I've been looking into getting an inkjet printer for photos, for a couple of months now and for those that read my review of the HP 990C, know I didn't find it there. So I turned to Epson, the masters of the photo! I had previously owned a stylus 600, and was really pleased with that - it was just so noisy! I had seen the Photo 870 and was really impressed with that, and noticed on their website that a new printer was on the horizon…the 890. It took me a week or so to find one, and when I did there were no print samples to be had, so I took a leap of faith and bought one. I was surprised by the price, most printers of this spec normally ... Read the complete review

Invest in a worthwhile printer?... Never! Until now, and even that didn't break the bank. For the more technically mined: * Dimensions = 47cm x 29cm x 18cm * Ink cartridge - One black, one Colour, total 6 ink resevoirs. * Paper feeder - A4/Letter sized. * Roll feeder - Can feed paper from a roll. * Resolution - 2880 x 720 dpi * Connections ... The printer itself looks similar to the first Epson Stylus Photo printers, but bulkier and has rounded corners. The design is very good, It does however have quite a large footprint compared to some other printers in its class. The printheads are not replaceable (unless you take it to a 'service centre') and so basically if these get clogged you either have to pay someone to replace or buy a new printer... Saying that I have had no problems with genuine Epson ink, some of the cheeper substitutes occasionally cause problems. The printer can be connected to the computer by eiter USB or Parallel, USB makes the printer respond faster, and saves ... Read the complete review
