Invest in a worthwhile printer?... Never! Until now, and even that didn't break the bank. I've finally upgraded my PC, and while my wife wasn't looking, I included a spanky new printer on the order :-) --- Features --- Okay, start with the basics. The best printer I have ever used, just use epson/canon paper as Kodak is very poor! - Advantages: Superb print quality, cheap consumables - Disadvantages: a bit heavy on the ink

I've been looking into getting an inkjet printer for photos, for a couple of months now and for those that read my review of the HP 990C, know I didn't find it there. So I turned to Epson, the masters of the photo! I had previously owned a stylus 600, and was really pleased with that - it was just so noisy! I had seen the Photo 870 and was really impressed with that, and noticed on their website that a new printer was on the horizon…the 890. It took me a week or so to find one, and when I did there were no print samples to be had, so I took a leap of faith and bought one.
