Advantages: Good quality photos

I bought this because i am a musician and like to make CD's/design artwork and then put the whole package together. It was the quality of the photo printing - plus a bargain price on ebay that made me buy this printer

Photo's come out very sharp indeed. My partner has a standard HP office printer - and although we will always rely on the HP for office style tasks, whenever we want to print photos we use the Epson R220.

On the downside it does take five different ink cartridges to run, so this can be quite expensive. Epson argue that this is more efficient, but with a lack of cheap cartridges available i beg to differ. It is for this reason - and the fiddling about you have to do to print something directly onto a cd that i have marked it down a star overall.

It does do a good job on photo's though.
