cheap and nasty (Epson Stylus S20)
Member Name: edthetalker
Advantages: none Disadvantages: utterly unreliable As with other reviewers, I found this a cheap but noisy machine. When it worked it was adequate but not exceptional. I bought quite a few spare genuine Epson cartridges to save time and money. Then the problems! In the middle of a job, it just stopped working. The error message was effectively 'Failure to recognise ink'! Epson Helpline most UNhelpful. Emails promised a call withing 24 hours - it took several days on each occasion. After the usual call-centre helpline runaround, the experts refused to accept my complaint, saying I must be using non-Epson cartridges or I'd damaged the mechanism by interfering with it. I used 'uninstall and re-install' to reset print counter, as advised by users' group member - but no difference. I could not recommend this printer and I am prepared to lose the money I've spent on the extra cartridges rather than buy another Epson. Ever! Summary: don't even steal one
