Epson Stylus S22
Advantages: easy set up.quick printing.
Disadvantages: Paper jams frequent
My personal experience and opinion:
If you want a printer for small scale printing, when i mean small scale printing i mean like 4 sheets of A4 a week, this printer may be the way forward, i bought this printer and after i printed 12 high quality prints from it, it packed up and only could be fed paper by hand, i sent it off, the other worked fine appart from some technical manufacturing problems, they send me a new one and it had the same problem as the 1st one and then the 4th one i got worked like a dream. I hope i just had a spell of bad luck and not all epson stylus s22 are like this. I now happily print of my coursework each week which is (colour, A4, around 15 - 30 pages) and i sometimes print out photos.
The print speed is about average at 28 black and white pages per minute and 15 colour prints per minute. Prints a 8x6 inch picture in about 90 seconds. It's good for mass production printing if the printed had the facilities.
The printer has a USB port but doesn't provide a USB cable.
The printer can easily hold around 50-70 sheets of paper, but i prefer to just put in enough for the amount you are needing to print due to the fact sheets of paper can easily get clogged in the wheels.
H13.5, W41.5, D22.7cm. in size and 2.4kg in weight, which is very easily moved without difficulty and can be taken on business trips etc.
Other: Inks can be costly meaning around £30 for the full colour and black inks for this product but from the speed i print pages (my usage is above) the ink last me around 2 months. which is cheaper than printing from a shop!
The set up is pretty simple and even my nan who is 82 years old borrowed it for a week and she isnt a computer whizz at all managed to set up and print out her poems from Word.
For a printer which is around £20 - £30 it's a good quality. If you need a cheap and cheerful printer then this is the one for you.
Summary: Cheap and cheerful
