Consistent and reliable (HP Designjet 500)

Advantages: Good quality prints, ease of use, networkable Disadvantages: Sometimes slow plotting The Hewlett Packard DesignJet 500 provides good quality plots and importantly good colour accuracy from plots. The Hewlett Packard brand and build usually means a plotter that will last if looked after appropriately and this one has to date. This A1 plotter is a great addition to a system and requires little technical knowledge to get started. The print quality is good with a full range of well defined colours available. A slight niggle with this plotter is the sometimes slower plot time if a lot of plots are required but this can be an issue even with more up to date just released plotters. The Hewlett Packard DesignJet 500 is a common sense option for a business or enthusiast context. I would recommend economy with plotting as the cost of cartridges can add up over time, although this is less of an issue in a commercial setting. This plotter is very good for its class. Summary: Delivers when needed
