HP Deskjet 1220cThe HP DeskJet 1220C is the fastest printer in the wide-format inkjet category. It prints at up to 11 pages per minute in black and 9.5 in color. The printer delivers printouts at such high speeds without compromising print quality, using PhotoREt III Enhanced Color Layering Technology, HP's latest benchmark in print quality. In addition, the printer has an alternative mode of 2400 x 1200 dpi printing on photo media. You can also easily network your printer with an optional HP JetDirect external print server, allowing everyone in your office to have access to fast, high-quality color printouts. I used to say - Only ever buy Epsom, Never HP or Lexmark - because of the cost of ink. So when i started my new job as a design engineer, and i was given one of these printers with a monstrous cost of ink, i inquired why we didn't use Epsom. I was told i would see why soon enough.. so i soldiered on - and it occurred to me that up to this day i have not changed a single cartridge...it has been 11 MONTHS! 11 Months without a cartridge change, and they only cost £12 anyway....wah could possible be bad about this printer..? its faster than an Epsom, and the picture quality is not far behind... my advise...buy this printer!! This printer has not been ... Read the complete review

The HP Deskjet 1220c Inkjet printer is a quality colour A3 Printer. I am doing an A-Level in DT at college, and due to stupid rules all paperwork must be handed in on A3 Paper. Thankfully my college had one of these HP printers, and I had no difficulty in printing out. I found the quality so good and the wide range of options the printer offered so excellent that I finally managed to persuade my parents to buy one, and replace our aging Epson stylus colour 600 Inkjet printer. ~~What my parents saw when they first saw the printer~~ (First appearances) My parents being relatively untechnologically minded, didn’t really see the need of the new ... I bought this printer earlier this year after my old Epson 500 died. I'm very pleased with it so far. It's an A3 printer and yet it still fits in the smallish gap (24 inches wide) on my desk. I can even balance the keyboard for the second computer on top of it and use the printer at the same time. If you regularly want to use thicker materials (up to 250 gsm) then you need access to the back of the printer to use the alternate manual slot. It also has two paper feeds at the front - you can leave it stacked with say A4 paper and override that size by feeding in different sheets as required. Print quality has been excellent both for pictures and for text. ... Read the complete review

I have had a long running battle with this printer and as a trained press operator and ICT Manager I have come to the conclusion there is a fundamental flaw in the firmware that controls the feed and print mechanism. My advice to you is to stay clear of this printer and buy an A3 printer from some other manufacturer. This A3 printer cannot print on card properly and will jam frequently. Not only that, when it jams and is unable to eject the paper you have no option but to gingerly pull out the sheet. After pulling out the sheet the firmware simply makes the printer unusable and will continue printing without feeding any more sheets. In other words ... Read the complete review
