      brilliant printer

This printer is the smallest and most effective printer I have ever used. The compactness and lightness of the printer makes it ideal for travel and with a folding paper tray it becomes a small box shape - meaning that all the delicate parts are protected and it is very easy to transport. It also comes with a built in battery which further enhances the effectiveness of it being a mobile printer and the battery life is so good I normally run off this at home for long periods of time.

The quality of the printer is suberb and I was genuinely impressed that such a small piece of kit could deliver such high quality pictures. The ink cartridges also seem to last ages, which is a good thing as the only drawback with any printer is that these are very expensive to buy in a shop.

The printer is very easy to connect to a computer and also to operate with very few buttons and changing the ink cartridges is a clean and easy procedure.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

It's a great compact printer, if thats what you need, this is the best.

I find it incredible that a printer can be squeezed into such a small space. I've had desktop printers that i have thought were small, but this? This one really is quite something.

The unit is not only small; it's also very light. It weighs just two kilograms - slightly more than a small laptop. So there is not doubt in my mind that this printer is designed to be portable. But that's not to say it has to be. I have mine because i have very limited space on my desk.

The print speeds are very impressive and, as usual, live up to HP's claims. Colour prints are very clear and crisp; text is sharp and clear as well.

From experience i would say that it is more than possible to use the 460c as a photo printer. It accepts glossy photo-paper and provides extremely high quality prints. The quality of the photos is easily as good as a HP photo printer, if not, better.

The unit is very expensive and is equally expensive to run. Replacement parts are only available through HP and would cost more to buy than an oil field. Cartridge last just a few hundred pages and seem to run down quicker than HP claim.

Overall: it's a great compact printer, if thats what you need, this is the best.
