Advantages: Cheap and simple

This was one of the first printers I ever used and I never really had any problems with it. Providing you are using it for basic text output only, you should be happy with it. It doesn't have the fastest output speed in the world, but how quickly do you need your print outs really?
Picture printing was ok, not fantastic. For this price you wouldn't really expect photo quality prints anyway.
The software was easy to install and basic operation and maintainence is very easy.
The paper tray holds a standard amount of paper for most home uses and I suppose it could be ok for small office use as well.
The biggest downside with this printer is that its quite noisy. The cartridge movement is fairly quiet, but when it takes paper it makes a fair racket.
Considering how much this printer costs, you can't really go wrong with it for basic home use or for your kids homework stuff. As long as you can find replacement cartridges pretty cheap, why not?

Summary: If its cheap and you're not after much, buy it.
