Advantages: cartridges last a long time

Disadvantages: not true photo quality

I have installed many a printer over the years and am a firm favourite of hewlett packards.

The footprint has decreased over recent years but they always seem robust compared to other printer manufacturers.

The print quality has always been good and that is true of the 610C. It is more than adequate for home use, however if you want photo quality it would be worth considering either the 7 0r 8 series (ie 890C)

The advatage hewlett packard has over its competitors is the 2 cartridge system. I is black the other being tri-colour, there is no need to change cartridges and black is true black.

Cartridge size is large compared to say CANON or EPSON and so last a lot longer. You can refill them manually or buy new cartridges which tend to be slightly expensive. You can purchase compatible which brings that price down.

Remember to purchase a printer cable as these do not come as part of the package.
